Much Needed Contemplation

Amateur footage demonstrates the frightening speed with which Friday's tsunami destroyed the city of Kesennuma, Japan

Although when I started this blog, I never wanted to talk about my musings or rant online. But recent events have shaken me so much that I feel my body tingling. Living in a place that is strategically placed so that I would probably never have to worry about natural disasters for my lifetime, I feel fortunate and then I wonder. Why I am alive, especially when the people who have left this world probably lived a life filled with more dreams than mine, more aspirations than mine.

Kaleidoscope

Although I rather like living in the shadows, I really love sudden bursts of colour or when an eclectic mix of colours come together and make me go... WOW.

Repulsion

I found this on google today.

Rather disturbed but couldn't help laughing at it.

Seriously, who would wear these?

Hobbits? If so, I need to re-watch LOTR.

Sleek wonder

The Ring House, outside Tokyo

I've always been amazed by modern, minimalist architecture but this, is just epic. A description of this house:
Takei-Nabeshima-Architects (TNA) architects have designed a striking mini-tower on spec for a planned community in the town of Karuizawa, some 185 miles northwest of the Japanese capital. The Ring House is wrapped in rings of glass and wood and has an uninterrupted 360-degree view of the forest.
